Social media influencer and analyst Reno Omokri has slammed Peter Obi for keeping mute as US President Donald Trump controversially threatens to send troops to Nigeria to flush out terrorists he accuses of being involved in Christian genocide.
The threat followed Trump’s declaration of Nigeria as a Country of Concern.
The development has generated hot debates within and outside Nigeria. But Reno Omokri wondered why Peter Obi a notable opposition figure would keep quiet on the matter.
Taking to his Facebook page, Omokri wrote: “Nigeria and Nigerians must never forget the loud silence of Peter Obi during this time of crisis for our dear nation. No good leader ever goes under when the sound of thunder threatens his nation. Except such a person was the one who pointed the finger in the first place.
“His silence is very pregnant with meaning, collusion and approval.
“A man who has an opinion on everything suddenly goes quiet. That is a most suspicious and inauspicious silence!”
