Waje breaks silence on choice of life partner

Nigerian singer, Aituaje Iruobe, popularly known as Waje, has opened up on her preferred choice of a partner.

While speaking with the Honest Bunch, Waje revealed that she cannot settle down with a man who is not financially stable.

She explained her reason for her preference, noting that she is no longer in her 20’s.

“I can’t marry someone who is not successful, and here’s why: first of all, I’m not in my 20s so we are not growing together. A man leads, he leads by selling aspirations to me. I have to aspire to see him lead. And if he can’t inspire me to grow, we can’t be partners. So, success is part of it. Faith and emotional intelligence are also part of it,” she said.

The 45-year-old artist also disclosed that she cannot date a younger guy.

“We will have issues. I’m very pragmatic. I sometimes I have to hold myself with my siblings, my friends, and my family members. Imagine if it was a husband? He would get tired. I will be treating him like my child. He would hate me,” she added.
