Quick Read
Sammy’s arrest comes amid ongoing marital controversies involving his sister, Regina Daniels, and her husband, billionaire politician Senator Ned Nwoko.
Nollywood star Mercy Johnson has visited a police station in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to demand answers on the arrest and whereabouts of Regina Daniels’ brother, Sammy West, who has reportedly been held in custody since Monday.
Sammy’s arrest comes amid ongoing marital controversies involving his sister, Regina Daniels, and her husband, billionaire politician Senator Ned Nwoko.
Expressing her frustration on social media, Mercy Johnson condemned the situation, describing it as a case of “pretended justice.”
She wrote,
“The worst form of injustice is pretended justice. A child was arrested, no one can or has been allowed to see him for two days. He was flown from Lagos to Abuja and is allegedly being taken to court from the airport. How did we get here? Nigeria… wow. #whereissamuel #freesamuelojelagewu”
In a video shared on Instagram by Regina Daniels, the actress was seen leaving a police station in Abuja after attempting to confirm whether Sammy was being held there.
Speaking in the video, Mercy Johnson said security officials denied having him in their custody:
“I am leaving here now. He is not here. We have spoken to all the officers involved — he is not here. We are going to the FCT Command.”
