In a statement issued by FUOYE’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Foluso Ogunmodede, the decision was made during a meeting chaired by the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba (SAN), on Thursday.
According to the statement:

“With this appointment, all forms of rancour should end.
I encourage all applicants and members of the university community to support the new Vice Chancellor in building a stronger FUOYE,” he said.
He also commended the outgoing Vice Chancellor, Professor Fasina, for his outstanding performance, particularly in developing the university’s infrastructure.
“You are leaving with your head held high. You have done well, and I congratulate you,” the Pro-Chancellor added.
