“With courage, we will triumph” – Tinubu declares in fresh message to Nigerians

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to defeat terrorism and restore lasting peace across Nigeria, saying the country will prevail through courage, unity, and adherence to the rule of law.

Tinubu, in a statement shared on his official X page on Friday, assured Nigerians that the government remains steadfast in its mission to eliminate insecurity and sustain reforms that promote national prosperity and inclusiveness.

“We are indeed faced with terrorism, a challenge Nigeria has faced for almost two decades, and we will not back down. We will decisively defeat terrorism and claim victory in this battle. Security is non-negotiable, and we will never compromise on this principle,” the President said.

The Commander-in-Chief also emphasized that Nigeria’s strength lies in its unity, urging citizens to reject despair and remain determined in building a stronger, more resilient nation.

“Nigeria is one united family. We rise together, move forward together, and reject despair in favour of determination. Our future is far more robust and stronger than any fears we may have,” he stated.

Tinubu further called on Nigeria’s international partners to stand firmly with the country in its anti-terrorism efforts, noting that significant progress has been made in the past two years.

He also expressed deep gratitude to members of the armed forces and intelligence community for their bravery and sacrifices in defending the nation.

“To the brave men and women of our armed forces and intelligence community, who serve fearlessly and sometimes pay the ultimate price, we express our deepest gratitude. Your commitment is our strength in the fight against terror,” he added.

Tinubu reaffirmed that Nigeria will continue to be a reliable partner and dependable ally to its friends on the global stage, as the nation strengthens both its security and economy.
