Liverpool loanee Luis Diaz quickly levelled the score with a brilliant solo goal, keeping the ball in play on the byline before spinning past a defender and firing home from a tight angle.
Bayern Munich dropped points for the first time this season after being held to a 2-2 draw by Union Berlin in the German capital on Saturday.
Union’s Danilho Doekhi gave the home side the lead when his shot from a corner slipped under goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.
Liverpool loanee Luis Diaz quickly levelled the score with a brilliant solo goal, keeping the ball in play on the byline before spinning past a defender and firing home from a tight angle.
Doekhi struck again late in the game after Harry Kane mistakenly headed a Union free-kick into his path, allowing the defender to score his second of the day.
However, Kane redeemed himself in stoppage time, heading in Tom Bischof’s cross to secure a point for Bayern and record his 13th Bundesliga goal of the season.
The result ended Bayern’s perfect start to the campaign and denied them the chance to equal their club record of 10 straight league wins. Their lead at the top of the Bundesliga table has now been reduced from seven points to six.
Bayern will face Freiburg at home after the international break on Saturday, November 22, while Union Berlin will visit St. Pauli on Sunday, November 23.
