Chelsea delivered a commanding performance on Saturday night, defeating Wolverhampton Wanderers 3-0 at Stamford Bridge to continue their Premier League revival under manager Enzo Maresca.

The Blues dominated possession from start to finish, with a fluid and aggressive attacking display that left Wolves chasing shadows.

Malo Gusto opened the scoring in the 51st minute, heading home a precise cross from Alejandro Garnacho to give the hosts a deserved lead after several missed chances in the first half.

Chelsea doubled their advantage in the 65th minute when Joao Pedro latched onto a defence-splitting pass and slotted calmly past goalkeeper Sam Johnstone. The Brazilian forward’s intelligent movement and composure underlined his growing importance to Maresca’s rejuvenated side.

Substitute Pedro Neto added a third in the 73rd minute, finishing off another slick team move initiated by Garnacho, who provided his second assist of the evening. The goal capped a confident performance for Chelsea, who maintained 73 percent possession and restricted Wolves to a single shot on target.

Despite late attempts from Wolves midfielder Marshall Munetsi, who came close with a long-range effort, the visitors rarely threatened Robert Sanchez’s goal.
