Chinonso Dickson, Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Afiam, has noted that the platform was launched to empower small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across Nigeria.
Developed by Zit Technology Services Limited, Dickson stated that Afiam was designed to simplify business operations for traders, entrepreneurs, and SMEs, providing them with the digital tools they need to grow efficiently in a fast-changing economy.
He said the inspiration behind Afiam stems from a simple yet powerful observation, which revealed that many Nigerian small businesses struggle to stay organized and informed due to limited access to technology. Relying heavily on paper-based systems often slows down growth and decision-making.
Recognizing this challenge, Chinonso Dickson said he envisioned a user-friendly digital solution to help business owners manage inventory, sales, and customer data all in one place.
“Afiam was created to bridge the gap between traditional trading and modern business management. We want to give small business owners the same level of efficiency, insight, and control that larger enterprises enjoy,” said Chinonso Dickson, Founder and CTO of Afiam.
He added that, though newly launched, Afiam is poised to make a lasting impact on Nigeria’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
“Its mission is to help traders and SMEs gain deeper insights into their operations, stay organized, and make data-driven decisions that improve profitability and sustainability,” Dickson added.
Ifeoluwa Aniesere Oyewole, Chief Operating Officer, emphasized Afiam’s focus on accessibility:
“Our goal is to make technology easy and approachable for every trader — whether they run a shop in Lagos or a small enterprise in Enugu. Afiam is for everyone who believes in growing smarter.”
The platform’s development and operations are driven by a dynamic leadership team, including Uzoamaka Okoroigwe Olejeme, Head of Sales and Marketing, who oversees outreach and engagement initiatives aimed at onboarding small business users through digital campaigns and community outreach.
While Afiam is a new entrant, its foundation is backed by Zit.ng, one of Nigeria’s e-commerce brands. The synergy between both companies reinforces Zit Technology Services Limited’s commitment to driving digital transformation for Nigerian businesses.
To mark its official launch, Afiam has announced an exclusive promotion offering ₦2,000 free credit for new users who sign up on the platform — an opportunity designed to encourage business owners to explore its full range of management tools and features.
