A new chapter in Africa’s digital transformation is unfolding, as Arthurite Integrated, a Lagos-based AWS Advanced Tier Partner, hosted a landmark event that placed Generative AI (GenAI) at the forefront of the continent’s technology conversation.

The event, themed “Next-Gen Intelligence: Driving Digital Transformation with AWS and GenAI,” gathered industry experts, tech innovators, educators, and cloud professionals to explore how artificial intelligence can drive productivity, sustainability, and inclusive growth across Africa.

Opening the event, Engr. Somtochukwu Ezepue, Founder and CEO of Arthurite Integrated, emphasized the company’s role in advancing cloud and AI adoption across the continent.

“Our focus is on empowering businesses with the right cloud strategies to drive efficiency and sustainable growth,” Ezepue said, noting that the company’s mission is to ensure African enterprises are not left behind in the global GenAI wave.

Thought Leadership and Industry Collaboration

The highlight of the day came from Ewere Diagboya, Africa’s first AWS Community Hero and author of Infrastructure Monitoring with Amazon CloudWatch and Techtionary, who delivered a keynote titled “The AI-First Enterprise: What It Takes to Win in the GenAI Era.”

Diagboya underscored the strategic priorities needed for organizations seeking to thrive in an increasingly AI-driven world.

This was followed by a keynote from Ademola Adedeji, DevOps/Site Reliability Engineer at Deimos and one of the first Kubestronauts in Nigeria and Africa, who delivered “Data as a Strategic Asset: Fueling GenAI with Clean, Compliant, and Cloud-Ready Data,” highlighting the critical role of clean, compliant, and cloud-ready data in powering effective GenAI solutions.

A major panel discussion on “The Talent Shift: Building a GenAI-Ready Workforce in Africa” followed, led by David Okeyode, EMEA Chief Technology Officer for Azure at Palo Alto Networks, alongside Ukeme David Eseme, a blockchain and DevOps specialist, and Engr. Adigun Ibrahim, Lagos State Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria.

The panelists explored how targeted cloud education and technical training could bridge Africa’s technology skills gap.

A second panel featured Bob Adewusi, Lead Cloud Engineer, and Joshua Omobola, AI Educator and Developer Relations Engineer at Cursor AI, who discussed data governance and infrastructure readiness for GenAI adoption.

Innovation in Action: AI Demos Redefining Possibilities

Arthurite Integrated captivated the audience with interactive demonstrations powered by AWS technologies including Bedrock, Lex, and Lambda.

Among the standout showcases was the DozzyGroup AI Bot, jointly presented by Ezepue and Dr. Paul Aderoju, highlighting how GenAI can streamline customer engagement and automate operations.

Through ImmersiPlay VR, attendees explored a virtual showcase of solutions like GreenDash, an integrated solar monitoring and security dashboard, and the Mars Rover Bot—a student-engineered innovation designed for agricultural pesticide spraying, terrain analysis, and autonomous patrols.

The Rover project, developed by Arthurite interns — Olalekan Ogundimu, Prince Dumhere, Victor Agbayekhai, and Adekunle Kehinde — exemplified how AI and robotics can transform traditional industries such as agriculture and security.

Other standout innovations included:

• Genie, a voice-first AI assistant for hotel management
• SentriBot AI Security System, presented by Akande Toheeb, featuring facial recognition and emotional analysis powered by NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano
• Conversational commerce integrations by Sarafa Satar and Ayobami Tunmise, connecting AI with platforms like WhatsApp and Telegram
• Kaleidoscope, a real-time customer feedback analytics tool by Abolaji Abdulrahman
• An AI-powered training portal for public sector e-learning developed by Ayobami Tunmise

Beyond innovation, Arthurite Integrated has trained more than 10,000 Nigerian youths in IT and cloud computing through its AWS Academy programs, nurturing the next generation of Africa’s cloud professionals.

Now expanding operations into Ghana and parts of Europe, the company continues to deliver scalable AWS cloud solutions to governments, SMEs, startups, and enterprises—helping clients improve cost efficiency, security, and operations.
