Panic at Miss Universe! Miss Jamaica falls off stage, rushed to hospital

Miss Jamaica, Dr. Gabrielle Henry, was rushed to the hospital on Wednesday after she tumbled off the stage during the preliminary evening gown round of the Miss Universe 2025 competition in Thailand.

The incident occurred as Henry made her runway walk in a flowing orange gown. A viral video circulating on social media shows the moment she slipped and fell from the edge of the stage, prompting gasps from the audience and halting the event momentarily.

Footage from the venue also captured pageant officials rushing to her aid before she was transported out of the hall on a stretcher.

Confirming the development, the Miss Universe Organisation released a statement late Wednesday, announcing that Henry had been taken to Paolo Rangsit Hospital in Bangkok for medical evaluation.

Miss Universe President, Raúl Rocha Cantú, who visited the injured contestant at the hospital, said she sustained minor wounds and would remain under medical observation overnight.

“Henry is receiving trAAeatment and is expected to recover. Her health and safety remain our top priority,” Cantú said.
