President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed happiness over the successful rescue of kidnapped Nigerians in Kwara and Niger States, commending the country’s security forces for their efforts.

In a statement on Sunday, the President said all 38 worshippers abducted in Eruku, Kwara State, have been rescued. He also welcomed the recovery of 51 missing students from a Catholic school in Niger State.

“I am closely monitoring the security situation nationwide and receiving continuous updates from the frontline,” Tinubu said, emphasizing his commitment to protecting Nigerians.

The President also noted that he cancelled his planned trip to the G20 summit in South Africa to personally coordinate security efforts at home.

“Let me be clear: I will not relent. Every Nigerian, in every state, has the right to safety — and under my watch, we will secure this nation and protect our people,” he added.

The Federal Government’s actions come amid rising concerns over abductions and attacks targeting schools, churches, and communities across the country, highlighting ongoing security challenges and the commitment of authorities to respond.
