The leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, on Sunday declared that all groups within the party have accepted unity and agreed to work together for the victory of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all party candidates in the 2027 general elections.

The immediate past National Chairman of the APC told journalists, after a stakeholders’ meeting with party chieftains at his Race Course residence, that he held several meetings with party leadership at the Ward, Local Government, and state levels for three days, where all agreed to sheath their swords and work together for the overall interest of the party.

Ganduje said Kano APC has reactivated all its offices in the 484 Wards and 44 Local Government Areas of the state, in full preparation ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The APC leader in Kano State also stated that all party offices have been equipped with computers and other necessary technology for the e-registration of all party members across the state.

Ganduje advised all party members to approach designated party offices for the e-registration.

He also urged party members to fully participate in the ongoing registration and revalidation of the Permanent Voter Card (PVC) for their adequate qualification to perform their civic responsibility during the 2027 general elections.

He said: “I have to thank our party stakeholders. And also, I have to thank the executives of our party from the Kano North Senatorial District, the caucus committees from the Senatorial District, and all other stakeholders of our great party.

“First of all, the purpose of this meeting for the last three days which we have been having is, as we are moving towards 2027, there is a need for us to ensure that there is complete unity in our party, unity from top to bottom.

“We have to ensure that there is solidarity for our party, and solidarity for the Federal Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“Also, the purpose of the meeting is to ensure a new commitment, according to the renewal agenda. So, members of our party, the delegates, have shown commitment to ensure that in 2027, we will win the election from top to bottom.”

Ganduje further stated that: “In the composition of this conference, we have the executives of the Local Governments from all the Senatorial Districts, we have executives of the party, new members of the caucus, and other important stakeholders of the party.

“We have informed our members that in order to be active in the party, we have directed all our offices at the 44 Local Government levels, and all our offices at the 484 Wards, to be physically accessible and functionally operative.

“And also, the executives and delegates have requested us to allow them to go back to the grassroots and make a pronouncement for the endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as our sole candidate for the presidential election come 2027.”

The former Governor of Kano State, who is now the Chairman of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), however, expressed optimism that the APC will take over Kano during the 2027 general elections.
