A fire burning through part of Holborn in an underground utilities tunnel on Theobalds Road, by the junction of Southampton Row, Central London has led to bus diversions.

Ten fire engines and 70 firefighters are tackling the inferno which is particularly ‘challenging and hazardous’ as it’s in an underground electrical tunnel.

The London Fire Brigade (LFB)’s control room took about 18 reports of the fire, the cause of which is unknown.

The following eight London buses are on diversion: 1, 19, 38, 55, 59, 68, 133, SL6.

It is not clear as of press time if there have been any injuries.
