Bauchi Gov. mourns late Islamic scholar Sheikh Dahiru Usman

Bala Mohammed, the governor of Bauchi State has paid tribute to late Islamic scholar Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi, who passed on at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH), Bauchi, on Wednesday night.

The Governor, in a statement released on Thursday, expressed his condolences to the family, and to the people of Bauchi state. He also spoke about the deceased, describing him as a man of deep faith and wisdom.

Gov. Mohammed also added that the Sheikh’s life was devoted to teaching the Qur’an and promoting spiritual upliftment.

“He was not only a custodian of religious knowledge but also a unifying voice for peace, tolerance, and understanding among Muslims and people of other faiths. As we mourn this monumental loss, we take solace in the fact that Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi lived a life fully dedicated to the service of Allah, humanity, and knowledge,” the statement read.

The Governor also prayed for the family and the followers of the late Sheikh, asking that they be granted the strength to bear the loss.
