Back-to-back pain: Gaise Baba loses both parents within seven months

Despite the heavy emotional blow of losing both parents within such a short period, Gaise Baba said his family is holding firmly to their faith.
The father of popular Nigerian Afro-gospel singer and songwriter, Akinade Ibuoye, widely known as Gaise Baba, has passed away.
The “No Turning Back” crooner announced the sad development in a statement shared on his social media page on Wednesday.
According to him, his father, Prince (Hon.) Ezekiel Gbadebo Ibuoye, the Ààrẹ Apọ́nlẹ́sẹ̀ of Okemesi Ekiti in Ekiti State, died on Saturday, November 22, at exactly 7:31 p.m. The same figure marking seven months and seven days after the death of his mother.

His statement read:
“On Saturday night, the 22nd of November, at 7:31pm, my Father – PRINCE (BARR.) EZEKIEL GBADEBO IBUOYE, Ààrẹ Apọ́nlẹ́sẹ̀ of Okemesi Ekiti, went home to be with the Lord, exactly SEVEN(7) months and SEVEN(7) days after his wife, our mother, passed on.
No guilt in life, no fear in death. Even with the pain of physical departure, we YIELD to God, and in all things, we give Him THANKS!”
He signed the announcement on behalf of the Ibuoye family as:
Akinade Gboluwaga Ibuoye, “Son.”
Earlier this year, Gaise Baba gained renewed attention after releasing a reimagined version of the classic gospel song “No Turning Back” featuring Minister Lawrence Oyor.
