My first son, Nino, not interested in following my footsteps – 2Face reveals

Legendary Nigerian musician, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Face or 2Baba, has revealed that his first son, Nino, has no interest in following his footsteps into music.

Despite Nino’s talent as a saxophonist, the award-winning singer disclosed that the teenager dreams of becoming a medical doctor instead.

2Face made the revelation while bringing his son on stage during an event in Abuja held to celebrate his 25 years in the music industry.

“Make some noise for my son, Nino, mehn,” he told the cheering crowd as Nino joined him on stage.

“He said he doesn’t want to be a singer. He wants to be a doctor,” 2Face added.

Nino Idibia, born on January 15, 2006, to 2Face and his former partner, Sunmbo Adeoye, is a sax player, model, and social media influencer.

In Nigeria’s entertainment scene, it is common for children to pursue careers similar to those of their celebrity parents. Recently, Wizkid’s first son, Boluwatife Balogun, made his debut in the music industry at age 14 with an EP titled ‘Champions’ Arrival’ under the stage name “Champz”.
