Nollywood actor Taye Arimoro has been suspended by the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), for his on-set altercation with Filmmaker, Peggy Ovire.

The indefinite suspension was announced in a joint statement by the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Directors Guild of Nigeria (DGN), and the Association of Movie Producers (AMP).

The statement, signed by Dr. Emeka Rollas, the president of the AGN, DGN President Mr. Uche Agbo, and AMP President Amb. Dr. Queen Blessing Ebigieson, claimed that Arimoro physically assaulted the production manager during the heated exchange.

They also described his account of the incident as false and misleading. The AGN directed him to issue a public apology on the platform he used to make such allegations. They ordered that the apology must be , addressed to the production manager, Peggy Ovire, and the director, Frederick Atigogo.

Peggy Ovire was also reprimanded for escalating the situation. She was also ordered to issue a written apology to the Actors Guild of Nigeria, and to the estate management.
