Barcelona’s young star, Lamine Yamal, has opened up about the goal that means the most to him in his football career so far.
Yamal, who has quickly become one of the most exciting talents in world football, first broke into Barcelona’s senior team under former manager Xavi.
Since then, he has continued to impress with his skill, confidence, and maturity on the field despite being only 18 years old.
In 2025, Yamal finished second in the Ballon d’Or voting, just behind Ousmane Dembele, showing how highly he is rated around the world. He also won the Kopa Trophy an award for the best young player in the world for the second straight year.
When asked about his favourite goal, Yamal did not hesitate. He chose the stunning strike he scored against France in the semi-final of Euro 2024.
That goal, along with another from Dani Olmo, helped Spain secure a 2–1 victory and advance to the final.
“I have three or four goals that I really like,” Yamal said in an interview with TouchlineX, as reported by 60 Minutes on CBS News. “But if I had to pick just one, I would choose the goal I scored against France at the Euros. It was important for the team and also very beautiful.”
