American singer and record producer Charles Otto Puth Jr, popularly known as Charlie Puth has reacted to the backlash he received after being announced as the artist to open up the 2026 Super Bowl.
Puth, on his X handle on Monday, responded to the critics who claimed he does not have the vocals to give a good performance.
He admitted that although he may not be as good as stars like Whitney Houston, that does not mean he is not a great singer as well.
“I’ll never claim to be as good of a singer as Whitney Houston ever was. But I assure you we’re putting a really special arrangement together—in D major. It’ll be one of my best vocal performances,” he wrote.
