How yahoo boys inspired me- Bella Shmurda opens up

Nigerian singer Abiola Ahmed Akinbiyi, popularly known as Bella Shmurda has revealed that his song ‘Cash App’ was inspired by internet fraudsters, often referred to as Yahoo boys.

While speaking in an interview with Clout Africa, Shmurda opened up on how he got inspired to make the hit track. He stated that he felt the need to cater to that group of people by making a song that motivates them.

Shmurda also explained that the inspiration for the lyrics of the song was both natural and divine, adding that it was from God.

“It is Yahoo in the sense that they have to dance. These people who are hustling, you have to make them happy. The truth is, when it comes to inspiration, you don’t have any story behind it. It is natural; it just comes. It is God-given,” he stated.
