Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has appealed to fans and the general public to stop spreading rumours about his alleged marital crisis with his wife, Natasha, saying the situation has become “dangerous.”
The legendary singer made the appeal in a video posted on his Facebook page on Wednesday, expressing concern that the online frenzy could put his wife in harm’s way.
According to him, the issue has spiralled far beyond normal speculation and now poses a real threat.
“I know what fans can do, I know what people can do. I am perfectly okay. But this is putting Natasha at risk. It’s not fair to anyone,” he said.
2Baba urged friends, family, supporters, and bloggers to “cease fire” and allow the matter to be addressed privately between those directly involved.
“People will get their issues sorted at home, not today. Please, I beg you. I am perfectly fine… this is putting Natasha at risk. I need everybody to cease fire. We are going to resolve all these issues,” he added.
