“We are happy to confirm that an artiste like Shoday will be performing. In the coming days, we will also announce more artistes,” he said, adding that “Sports and music provide entertainment, and fun is what people need at the end of the year.
Fast-rising Afro-fusion star Shoday will headline the GOtv Boxing Night Jam Festival on 26 December at Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), in an edition organisers say will fuse top-tier boxing with high-energy music to create one of Lagos’ biggest year-end entertainment spectacles.
Shoday, whose breakout hits “Omo No Dey” and “Vibes Everywhere” have earned him strong streaming numbers and collaborations with artistes such as Kizz Daniel and Spyro, is expected to bring his trademark vibrant stage presence to the festival.
His inclusion signals the organisers’ intent to elevate the musical component of the event to match its fast-paced boxing action.
Jenkins Alumona, CEO of Flykite Productions, said Shoday’s performance is part of a broader plan to turn TBS into a full-blown entertainment arena.
“We are happy to confirm that an artiste like Shoday will be performing. In the coming days, we will also announce more artistes,” he said, adding that “Sports and music provide entertainment, and fun is what people need at the end of the year.
“We want Tafawa Balewa Square transformed into a party venue. From hit after hit on the stage to thrilling action in the ring, the GOtv Boxing Night Jam Festival will bring together the very best of Nigerian music and boxing. This is an event no fan will want to miss.”
The festival, produced by Flykite Productions, is renowned for pairing live performances with professional bouts, creating a crossover appeal for music lovers and boxing enthusiasts alike.
GOtv Boxing Night Jam Festival is sponsored by GOtv, with support from MultiChoice, Zetaweb, The Cable, NBG Africa, Ragital and the Lagos State Sports Commission.
