Popular Nigerian singer Adedamola Oyinlola Adefolahan, professionally known as Fireboy DML, has said he is unconcerned about music rankings and critics’ ratings, stressing that the support of his fans matters more to him.

The Peru hitmaker made this known while speaking on a recent episode of the 90s Baby podcast, where he shared his thoughts on being ranked among top artistes in the industry.

According to Fireboy, lists such as “Top 5” or “Top 10” do not define his sense of fulfillment as an artiste. He explained that knowing he has loyal fans who genuinely appreciate his music is enough motivation for him.

“I don’t really care about Top 5 or Top 10, as long as I have fans who rate me,” Fireboy said. “I know that I have fans who think I’m the best artiste in the whole world, and that is good enough for me. I’m a very contented person.”
