Senator Ned Nwoko, representing the Delta North Senatorial District, has responded to recent claims by his estranged wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, regarding access to their two sons, Munir and Khalifa.

Senator Ned Nwoko, representing the Delta North Senatorial District, has responded to recent claims by his estranged wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, regarding access to their two sons, Munir and Khalifa.

In a statement released on Tuesday by his communications team and titled “Take the Window of Quietude for Therapy,” Nwoko dismissed allegations that he is deliberately denying Daniels access to the children or exploiting them on social media.

The statement described Daniels’ social media posts as misleading and inconsistent with long-standing family practices. According to Nwoko’s team, sharing family moments involving the children has always been normal within the household, noting that Daniels herself has previously shared photos and videos of not only her children but also those of Nwoko’s other wives without raising concerns about privacy or exploitation.

Addressing the custody issue, the statement claimed that Daniels’ absence from the children’s lives has been voluntary, alleging that she prioritised social engagements and nightlife over consistent involvement with the children. It added that the children are currently in a stable environment focused on routine, care, and emotional well-being.

Nwoko further disclosed that an Abuja court has ordered Regina Daniels to undergo drug rehabilitation and be assessed by the Abuja Social Welfare Department as a condition for regaining access to the children.

The case has been adjourned to February 4, 2026, for substantive hearing.
