Seyi, the son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has bagged another “Okanlomo” title in Lagos less than a week after he was conferred with a similar time in Oyo town, Oyo State.
This time, Seyi Tinubu was conferred with the title of “Okanlòmo of Eyọ Ọba Alakẹtẹ Pupa, Laba Ẹkun,” in Lagos.
He was conferred the title ahead of the Eyo Festival scheduled to hold in Lagos tomorrow.
Lagos governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who was present when the title was conferred on Seyi shared picture of the event alongside a congratulatory message to the son of the President on his social media platforms
Sanwo-Olu said, “I warmly congratulate Barrister Oluwaseyi Tinubu @STinubu on his installation as the Okanlòmo of Eyọ Ọba Alakẹtẹ Pupa, Laba Ẹkun.

“This honour reflects service, character, and commitment to our culture and people.
“I wish him continued strength and clarity as he carries the responsibilities and expectations that come with this new role.”

Okanlomo of Yorubaland is a prestigious Yoruba title meaning ‘beloved child’, signifying deep affection, honour and importance within the Yoruba race.
The ceremony was witnessed by members of the Federal Executive Council, including the Minister of Power, Chief Bayo Adelabu, the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Olawale Edun, and the Statistician-General of the Federation, Adeyemo Adeniran, were also present.
Senator Teslim Folarin, former Kano State Governor and national political leader Abdullahi Ganduje also joined traditional rulers from across Nigeria and the Republic of Benin for the event.
