Nigerian minister and televangelist Pastor Chris Okafor, has tendered an apology to Nollywood actress Doris Ogala and to the members of his church of the series of controversies that has ensued.
The pastor, while addressing his congregation, claimed that not all allegations made against him were true. He, however, stated that he is willing to make amends and offer restitution to all those he offended.
Okafor also apologised to Doris, stating that he has felt the need for a new beginning.
“I am not joining issues. Mistakes have been made in the past, and I tender my apology to everybody. But everything that was said is not true. There are so many lies in most of the things that were said. To Doris Ogala, I will apologize, and I also apologize to everyone. I am ready to make a restitution to anyone and anybody, any lady, anywhere I’ve offended,” he stated.
The Pastor got on his knees in front of his congregation, asking that they forgive and pray for him.
“I’m kneeling down before everyone and before the church. Forgive me. You can judge me. Pray for me,” he added.
