Tragic! Two pensioners in their 80s die in house fire

Tragedy struck the seaside village of Easkey in County Sligo, Ireland, on Sunday as two pensioners in their 80s lost their lives in a house fire.

Emergency services were called to the property around 11:00 a.m., but the men, whose identities have not been released, were pronounced dead at the scene. No other fatalities or injuries were reported.

This incident comes amid heightened concern over house fires in Ireland. Earlier this month, a four-year-old boy and a 60-year-old woman were killed in a separate blaze in County Offaly, described by authorities as a “callous and murderous” act.
