Nigerian music icon Peter Okoye, known as Mr P of the legendary Psquare duo, has expressed profound grief over the deaths of two close associates of heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua in a fatal car accident, describing the incident as one that has “shattered” him completely.

In an emotional post on X accompanied by a heartfelt video montage of happier times, Okoye mourned Latif “Latz” Ayodele and Sina Ghami, both 36, who perished in the crash on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on December 29.

“This accident has shattered me completely. Latz & Sina, I can’t believe you’re gone. Why?” Okoye wrote, addressing Joshua directly as “my brother.”

He added, “My heart breaks for you… Latz & Sina will forever live in our memories and in the love they left behind. Even in the middle of this storm, we are grateful to God for sparing your life. May He comfort you, guide you, and help you carry their legacy with pride and strength. Stay strong brother.”

The tribute highlights the deep personal bond between Okoye and Joshua, rooted in their shared Nigerian heritage and years of friendship.

Latz and Sina were not just Joshua’s trainers, Ayodele as his dedicated personal trainer and Ghami as his longtime strength and conditioning coach, but cherished friends integral to his success, including his recent victories.

Joshua, 36, survived the crash with minor injuries and remains stable in a Lagos hospital. The accident, involving a Lexus SUV colliding with a stationary truck, has prompted widespread tributes from the sports and entertainment worlds, underscoring the fragility of life amid Nigeria’s ongoing road safety challenges.
