Hisbah places ban on men-women interaction in Yobe

The Hisbah Commission in Yobe State has placed a ban on physical conversations between men and women in vehicles in the state.
The ban was announced in a statement released by the State Commander of the Hisbah Commission, Dr. Muhammad Yawudi Kale. It was also approved by the Chairman of the Yobe State Hisbah Commission, Dr. Yahuza Hamza Abubakar.
The commission explained that the ban was placed to ensure the preservation of morality in the state. They noted that the behaviours that were banned are against the Sharia law.
“Reckless driving or moving in vehicles, especially in public during weddings or Sallah celebrations, physical interaction between men and women in vehicles, particularly on Keke Napep, motorcycles, or at public gatherings,” the statement read in part.
The Hisbah commission urged parents, guardians and residents to support the enforcement of these rules.
