How To Stop Assassinations —Cleric
As political associates, family and friends prepare to mark a decade of the assassination of the former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, the late Chief Bola Ige, a cleric, Prophet Solomon Olukunmi Ajao has warned politicians to desist from amassing wealth through public office, to stop political assassinations.
The General Overseer of CAC, Warrior for Christ Mission, Ifako-Ijaiye, Lagos, southwest Nigeria, Ajao said politicians sent hired assassins to one another because of the huge money public office holders make.
He said, “political assassinations reached its peak when politicians stated making billions of naira from public office. It will continue until they agree to reduce the cost of governance in the country”.
Ajao said he saw a vision recently that political assassins invaded Lagos State and succeeded in killing a popular political leader.
“The killing of the politician was earth-shaking. I saw Lagos in a mourning mood,†Ajao disclosed.
He regretted that politicians who have genuine intentions to serve the people were never allowed to get to the seat of power.
The cleric observed that the Nigeria police need reformation but the powers that be were not interested in any laudable idea but to make money for themselves.
Ajao lamented that men in the corridor of power are usually not interested in any message from a genuine prophet of God adding that that was one of the reasons things could not work in Nigeria.
