US Vice President JD Vance has broken his silence following an attempted break-in at his Cincinnati residence, describing the incident as the work of a “crazy person” who hammered at the windows of his home.

Vance reassured the public that no one was home at the time, as he and his family had already returned to Washington, D.C. He expressed gratitude to the Secret Service and Cincinnati Police for their swift response.

“I appreciate everyone’s well wishes about the attack at our home. As far as I can tell, a crazy person tried to break in by hammering the windows. I’m grateful to the Secret Service and the Cincinnati police for responding quickly,” Vance said.

The Vice President also made a direct appeal to the media, urging journalists to protect his children from exposure to the incident. He expressed skepticism about the news value of publishing images showing holes in the windows of his home.
