The event drew a diverse audience, including music lovers, industry leaders, creatives, and cultural tastemakers, all eager to experience an evening defined by authenticity and excellence.

The concert featured an electrifying lineup of performances, including ClayrocksU, celebrated as the Queen of AfroRock; Zadok, known as the Preacher of Love; Progress, winner of Nigerian Idol Season 7; and Jackson Supernova, acclaimed as the King of Blues. Other notable acts, including Jazz Priest, Lovesick, and Jarumi Jr., created a dynamic musical journey that resonated deeply with the audience.

Headlining the night, Ochiora Okogeri, popularly known as The Country Man, delivered a two-hour-plus performance blending timeless country classics with original compositions.

Fans responded with sustained applause and repeated calls for encores, reflecting a deep connection between the artist and his audience.

Commenting on the event, The Country Man said, “This night was about bringing people together through music, culture, and storytelling. Seeing the audience connect with every note reminded me why live music will always matter.”

The event stood out for its polished production, warm atmosphere, and strong visual presentation. Attendees included Wessel De Haas, former Deputy Managing Director of Shell Petroleum Development Company, alongside celebrities and expatriates, highlighting the show’s broad cultural appeal. The evening was supported by Bature Brewery Victoria Island and Laerry Blue Media, with special appreciation extended to Prof. Emmanuel Kachikwu.

A standout moment was the unveiling of a large-scale portrait by KodaNation, presented on stage to enthusiastic applause.

Concluding the night, The Country Man confirmed that The Country Man Live will become an annual December event, promising bigger and more immersive experiences in future editions.
