‘I’m tired of being alpha female, I want to be a wife’ – Tamar Braxton, 48

American singer and actress Tamar Braxton has opened up about her frustration with being single at 48, saying she is tired of being an “alpha female” and wants to be a wife.

Braxton made the remarks during a recent interview with WBLS, where she spoke candidly about her love life and why she believes marriage has eluded her.

The Love and War hitmaker said she considers herself “wife material” and expressed disappointment that she is still unmarried at her age.

“I am a wife material. I am not a streetwalker. I am upset that I am still single. What’s going on?” she said.

According to Braxton, her continued singleness is not by choice but due to what she described as a shortage of “good men.” She explained that while she desires a decent and responsible partner, she has not met anyone who fits that standard.

“I think the only reason I am still single is because there are not the right guys. I accept only premium guys, but I have been meeting only regulars lately. All I want is a good man. That’s my type,” she added.

Braxton also admitted that her strong personality may have discouraged men from approaching her in the past. She described herself as an alpha female and said some men may feel intimidated by her confidence and standards.

“Yes, my personality may come off as intimidating. Some men may not have the confidence to approach me because they think they can’t meet my standards,” she said.

However, Tamar Braxton revealed that she is making a conscious effort to change, saying she is working on being softer and less dominant.

“But right now, I am trying to ditch being an alpha female and be more soft. I am working on it every day,” she said.
