Emotional moment as Baddy of Lagos takes first steps after surgery

Lagos-based influencer David Obadiah, popularly known as Baddy of Lagos, has shared a positive update on his recovery journey, revealing that he has taken his first steps following orthopedic surgery in Egypt.

The social media personality, who had been living with a congenital leg condition that left his legs bowed, underwent corrective surgery made possible through a crowdfunding campaign initiated by fellow influencer Wizarab.

Baddy had earlier appealed for financial assistance to fund the life-changing procedure, which was carried out in stages due to its intensity and the demands of the recovery process. According to sources close to him, only one leg was operated on initially, with plans to return for the second surgery after full healing.

Sharing the update on his X (formerly Twitter) page, Baddy posted a photo of himself walking with the aid of a crutch and expressed heartfelt gratitude to supporters who contributed to his treatment.

“First steps with my leg post surgery, y’all gave me this. So I have to fully heal from my right leg before I can go back to Egypt for the left one. It was impossible to do both at the same time,” he wrote.
