President Tinubu hails gallant Super Eagles after hard-fought AFCON bronze

President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Nigerian national football team, the Super Eagles, following their bronze medal victory at the 2025 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.

The President commended the team for bouncing back from their semi-final defeat to host nation Morocco, praising their resilience and determination in the third-place playoff. Nigeria defeated Egypt, a seven-time AFCON champion, 4-2 on penalties after dominating regular time.
