Anambra cleric wants Tinubu re-elected

He described Tinubu as “a man on a mission”, saying he won the 2023 election against all odds.

A cleric, Ramas-Asuzu Okoye, has urged Nigerians to re-elect President Bola Tinubu in 2027.

Okoye, Supreme Head of the Liberation Temple of Absolute God, Nri, spoke while briefing journalists near Awka on Sunday.

Known as the ‘Aka Ji Ofo Igbo’, he said Tinubu needed time to complete economic and structural reforms already yielding results.

He described Tinubu as “a man on a mission”, saying he won the 2023 election against all odds.

Okoye argued it was rational to allow the President to continue and conclude his agenda for Nigeria.

He said an Igbo presidency would come “when the time is right”, but not now.

“In 2023, many thought Peter Obi was stronger, but Tinubu won despite currency changes and online attacks.

“I have consulted, and the message is that Tinubu should be allowed to continue in 2027 to complete reforms,” he said.

Okoye urged Tinubu to pursue unity and inclusion, uphold federalism, and balance appointments across political zones.

He called for greater attention to security and the cost of living, saying government’s duty is citizens’ protection and welfare.

He added that any rift between former governor, Mr Peter Obi, and Gov. Chukwuma Soludo was normal, describing both as Anambra’s finest.
