Tech expert Oyemonlan sweeps two CoolWealth Awards, sets blistering pace for 2026

Benjamin Oyemonlan has begun 2026 on a high note, emerging as one of the standout winners at the CoolWealth Awards held in Lagos, where he clinched two major honours.

While many are still settling into the new year and mapping out goals, the young technology entrepreneur and fintech executive has already made a strong statement, winning Young Entrepreneur of the Year and Humanitarian Personality of the Year for his contributions to Africa’s fast-evolving digital finance space.

Oyemonlan is the founder and chief executive officer of Platnova, a financial technology platform focused on cross-border payments and digital banking services tailored to African users.

The company provides multi-currency virtual accounts, payment cards and international transfer services, helping freelancers, startups and small businesses overcome limitations posed by traditional banking systems.

His journey into technology began in software development and fintech, where he worked on digital payment systems and blockchain-related projects.

Since its launch, Platnova has operated across several African markets, positioning itself within the growing digital financial services sector supporting remote work and online commerce.
