Alexander Skarsgård reacts to reports about his sexuality

Swedish actor Alexander Skarsgård has reacted to the rumors surrounding is sexuality after playing the role of an homosexual biker in his new film, Pillion.

The 49-year-old actor, while speaking in an interview with Variety, revealed that he has been with both men and women in the past. He stressed the importance of his role in the move, explaining that roles like that are rarely portrayed with authenticity.

Skarsgård, however, did not give clarity regarding his present sexuality. He noted that his statement about his past was not intended, adding that his present focus is his son.

“I found that in this case, t’s not really relevant what my background is. What I’ve done in the past, who I’ve been with—men, women, to me, what was important was that this felt like an opportunity to tell a story about a subculture I hadn’t seen portrayed this way—with so much authenticity,” he stated.
