“I’m convincing them” – Osimhen opens up on talks with Lookman, Onyedika

Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, has revealed he is personally trying to lure his Nigerian teammates, Ademola Lookman and Raphael Onyedika, to Turkish giants Galatasaray amid growing transfer speculations.

Osimhen, who currently plays for Galatasaray, made the disclosure after the club’s 1-1 draw with Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Champions League, confirming that discussions with both players have already taken place during international duties.

“I spoke with Onyedika during the Africa Cup of Nations. I also spoke with Lookman during the World Cup matches,” Osimhen was quoted as saying by Futboo.

According to the former Napoli striker, he took time to sell Galatasaray to both players, highlighting the club’s massive fan base and the appeal of life in Turkey.

“I told them about the Galatasaray fans, how big a club we are, and the beauty of the country. They are adults and will make their own decisions,” he said.

Osimhen did not hide his desire to see the duo join him in Istanbul, describing their potential arrival as a major boost for the club.

“Their arrival would be good for our club, our players, and our fans. Onyedika is a very good player. He plays fluently and would contribute a lot if he comes,” Osimhen added.

“He is very talented. I am trying to convince both of them. I would like them to come to one of the biggest clubs in the world and play with us.”
