Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has reacted to the death of Afrobeat artiste Destiny Boy, making comments that have stirred reactions online.

The Zazu crooner shared his thoughts in a video currently circulating on social media, where he mourned Destiny Boy and reflected on the struggles the late singer allegedly faced in the music industry.

In the emotional video, Portable claimed that Destiny Boy was more talented vocally than Grammy-winning superstar Wizkid, but lacked the support needed to thrive.

“Destiny Boy, we miss you. He knew how to sing more than Wizkid, but he didn’t have any helper,” Portable said.
“God, please don’t let me die young. Make sure you don’t die because there is fake love everywhere.”

Portable further suggested that Destiny Boy had been battling serious health challenges privately, alleging that the singer went through difficult moments alone without adequate assistance.

He also questioned Destiny Boy’s decision to part ways with his former associates, the 2T Boys, claiming that things began to change negatively for the late artiste after the split.

“I don’t know why he left his helpers, 2T Boys. Everything changed for him when he left them,” Portable added.
“If he died at his babalawo’s place, it was because of his sickness. He had been facing a lot on his own.”

The singer also dismissed rumours that Destiny Boy received houses, cars or money from top artistes, insisting that there was no evidence to support such claims.

Portable’s comments come shortly after he regained freedom following his release from prison over a dispute involving his fourth baby mama, Ashabi Simple.
