‘Wizkid, Davido, Olamide, Burna are blocking new artistes’ – Portable

Street-hop singer, Portable has taken aim at Nigeria’s top music stars, accusing Wizkid, Davido, Olamide, and Burna Boy of monopolising the industry and making it hard for younger artistes to rise.

In a fiery rant, as his custom is, the singer claimed the veteran artistes have been at the top for over 10 years and are preventing new talent from breaking through.

Portable also called out their flashy lifestyle, saying some stars exaggerate the value of their possessions, including expensive chains.

“They also lie a lot,” Portable said. “They can say they bought a chain for 1 billion dollars, whereas it might have been given to them for free.”

Known for his outspoken and unpredictable style, Portable’s comments are likely to stir reactions among fans and fellow musicians alike.
