Viral Ghana Clip: Davido jokes as IShowSpeed trends again

American streamer Darren Jason Watkins Jr, popularly known as IShowSpeed, has caused fresh reactions online after a video from his visit to Ghana went viral.

The video showed Speed receiving a strong massage from a group of women during his stay in Ghana. Many Nigerians noticed the clip and reacted to it on social media.

Nigerian music star Davido, whose real name is David Adeleke, also joined the conversation.

He reposted the video on his Instagram page and tagged his wife, Chioma Rowland Adeleke, with a joking caption asking for her permission, adding, “Isn’t this Ghana?”

Speed’s visit to Ghana came shortly after he spent several days in Nigeria as part of his tour across 20 African countries in 28 days.

While in Lagos, many videos of him went viral, showing him interacting with fans, joking with people on the streets, and enjoying local performances.

During his Nigeria visit, Speed also met some Nigerian entertainers. Singer Zlatan surprised him with a birthday cake, while Davido joined one of his livestreams through a FaceTime call from Paris.

However, not everything went smoothly. Videos involving TikTok streamer Peller attracted attention after he was seen repeatedly trying to meet Speed, including chasing his convoy and asking for collaboration. This sparked online criticism.

Speed later explained that his African tour was not focused on influencer collaborations.

He said the goal was to showcase African culture, everyday street life, and local talent, adding that his travel schedule was very tight.

After leaving Nigeria, Speed continued his tour to Ghana, where new videos once again placed him at the centre of online discussions.

The massage video, especially after Davido reposted it, became one of the most talked-about moments from the Ghana visit.

Davido’s reaction also attracted attention because of his public marriage to Chioma.

The couple have held several wedding ceremonies, including a court wedding in March 2023, a traditional wedding in Lagos in June 2024, and a white wedding in Miami in August 2025.
