One dead, 3 arrested as ‘Yan Daba’ thugs clash in Kano

One person was confirmed dead while two others were injured in a clash between thug groups known as “Yan Daba” in Kabara and Magashi quarters in Kano City on Wednesday.

However, police operatives who responded to the incident arrested three suspects and recovered weapons, the command’s spokesperson, CSP Abdullahi Kiyawa said in a statement.

Kiyawa said police operatives responded swiftly during the clash which occurred on Wednesday to arrest three suspects.

Kiyawa said the Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Bakori, has directed an investigation to bring perpetrators to justice.

He reassured the public of the the command commitment to protecting lives and property.
