The changes were announced in a statement issued on Friday by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Ikhilor.

Under the reshuffle, Vincent Osas Uwadiae has been redeployed from the Ministry of Oil and Gas Resources to the Ministry of Lands and Housing, where he will now serve as Commissioner.

The former Commissioner for Lands and Housing, Yakubu Oshiorenua Musa, has been appointed Chief of Staff to the Governor.

Also affected is Gani Audu, who previously served as Chief of Staff. He has been nominated as Commissioner for Oil and Gas Resources, subject to confirmation by the Edo State House of Assembly.

The reshuffle takes effect from January 30, 2026.

Governor Okpebholo, according to the statement, expressed confidence that the changes would strengthen policy execution, improve inter-ministerial coordination, and enhance overall governance in the state.
