Nollywood actress Blessing Nze has opened up about her marriage, experience with online trolling, and working closely with her husband in the film industry.
Speaking during an interview with media personality Ifedayo Agoro, the actress revealed that she once faced intense criticism on social media over her physical appearance, particularly her teeth.
Blessing, who is married to fellow actor Stan Nze, said the trolling began during her first wedding anniversary photo shoot, when critics mocked her constant laughter and described her dentition as bad.
“They showed me during my first anniversary. They said I should stop laughing, that my dentition is bad,” she recounted.
According to her, the online mockery pushed her to improve her smile, adding that she now feels confident and proud of the transformation.
“Sebi, now my teeth are fine. It’s trolling that gave me this fine dentition now,” she said.
The actress also addressed assumptions surrounding her working relationship with her husband, noting that many people believe collaborating with Stan means she does not have to pay him professionally.
Dispelling the notion, Blessing clarified that her husband is paid like every other actor whenever they work together on a project.
“Sometimes people say, you’re enjoying o. You don’t need to pay your husband. It’s a lie o, my husband collects money,” she said.
She added that from the beginning of their relationship, both she and her husband agreed to stand together as a team, supporting each other through challenges.
“From the onset, we’ve always just known that it’s me and you against the world,” she explained, stressing that she has no problem spending her money on her husband when necessary.
