Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly planning to go on strike and will not play for Al-Nassr in their next Saudi Pro League match against Al Riyadh.

According to Portuguese outlet A Bola, the 40-year-old forward is unhappy with the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund (PIF) over the club’s failure to sign enough new players.

Ronaldo, who joined Al-Nassr in December 2022, has become the face of the Saudi Pro League and one of its biggest attractions. However, he is said to be frustrated by the slow pace of transfers at the club.

The report also claims that Ronaldo believes PIF is favoring rival clubs when it comes to player recruitment.

Another issue bothering the Portuguese star is the reduced influence of Al-Nassr’s sporting director, Simao Coutinho, and chief executive officer, Jose Semedo, following a recent board meeting.

These developments have reportedly contributed to Ronaldo’s decision to refuse to play in the upcoming fixture.
