DeeOne breaks silence after police invitation

Nigerian reality star and comedian Aderombi Adedayo, popularly known as DeeOne, has alleged that his invitation by the Nigeria Police Force is politically motivated.

DeeOne made the claim on Monday morning in a video shared on his Instagram page, where he disclosed that he was already on his way to the police station to honour the invitation.

In the video, the comedian accused security agencies of trailing him and warned the Nigeria Police and the Nigerian Army to remain professional and steer clear of political matters.

“My invitation was politically motivated. And let it be clear, Nigeria police and Nigerian army stay away from politics. Another thing, one per cent of the one per cent are not scared,” he said.

He further urged Nigerians not to plead on his behalf, insisting that citizens must stand up for their rights.

“Nobody should beg for me. You have to fight for your rights in this country. So, I’m on my way. If this will be my last video on earth, no problem. No be today police brutality don dey happen. I will face anything that wants to happen. For Nigeria police to want to know where I stay, to want to kidnap me,” DeeOne added.

DAILY POST recalls that the comedian had earlier disclosed on Thursday, January 29, 2026, that he was invited by the Police Force Intelligence Department (FID) for what was described as a routine interview.
