Tacha calls out double standards against single mothers

Nigerian media personality Anita Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has called out a common stigma attached to single mothers in Nigeria.

The BBN star, on her X handle on Wednesday, spoke against people who label single mothers as promiscuous. She called out the practice, stating that some of these individuals were also raised by single mothers.

”So unmarried women with kids are sluts but your single mother is the strongest woman in the world,” she wrote.

Her post quickly stirred reactions as other users spoke about the trend of shaming single mothers.

”I really don’t understand how same ppl who were raised by single mums are the one’s constantly shaming single mums.  Does it mean you don’t love your mum,” one user wrote.

”And their elder sisters have different kids for different men but somehow somehow, it’s the stranger on the internet that’s an “ashewo”,” another user claimed.
