VIDEO: Sanwo-Olu hosts popular American streamer Kai Cenat

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has hosted popular American internet personality and streamer Kai Cenat at the Lagos House, Marina.

The visit was made public by the Governor’s Senior Special Assistant on New Media, Jubril A. Gawat, who shared photos and a video of the meeting on X (formerly Twitter).

According to Gawat, Kai Cenat, who is visiting Lagos for the second time, paid a courtesy visit to the governor, during which he spoke about his experiences in the state and his growing interest in Nigeria.

He disclosed that the globally recognised streamer is currently in Lagos to advance discussions on projects and initiatives targeted at children and young people in Lagos State.

Kai Cenat is one of the most influential streamers in the world, boasting millions of followers across platforms such as Twitch and YouTube. His content enjoys massive patronage, particularly among young audiences.

Although details of his itinerary and specific engagements were not revealed by state officials, the visit has already generated excitement online, with many Nigerians welcoming the development.

The meeting comes shortly after another American streamer, IShowSpeed, visited Lagos.
