The Nigerian Police Force has began a full scale investigation into the attack that occurred in Kwara state on Tuesday. Adekimi Ojo, Commissioner of Police, disclosed this in a statement released on Thursday.
He noted that the investigation is aimed at tracking down the perpetrators of the attack which claimed over 100 lives. Ojo urged the residents of the affected communities to remain calm and cooperate with the security officials while they track the attackers.
Governor Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq, also paid a visit to the community to commiserate with the affected families. He was accompanied by Commissioner of Police, Adekimi Ojo, the Director of the Department of State Services, DSS, Mr. Micheal Oganwu, the Brigade Commander, 22 Armoured Brigade, Brig. Gen N.N Rume, and other senior security and top government officials.
